TATE, JACKIE L. (JACK), age 65 of Strawberry Plains, his soul and spirit went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2005 (II Corinthians 5: 6-8.) He was a member of Thorngrove Baptist Church. Jack was retired from K-Mart Corporation with 32 years service. He was an avid sports fan and loved his family and the Lord Jesus Christ, (Romans 10:9) his Lord and Savior. Jack loved his role of “Poppa” to his grandsons Seth and Jonathan. Jack loved and was so proud of his sons Nicky and Jack Lemuel, his daughter Melissa and a special sister Linda, I love you. God blessed me with more than I deserved in life, my wife Sharon who is my love and my best friend. To all my family and friends, it’s not goodbye, but until we meet again in heaven .Preceded in death by parents, Nell and George Tate; brothers, Fredrick and Ronnie Tate.

Survived by wife, Sharon Tate; son, Jack Lemuel Tate; daughter and son- in-law, Melissa and Tim Tatum; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Jessica Tate; grandsons, Seth and Jonathan Tatum; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Danny Liston.
Service
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Robert Lawson officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers are members of Victory Men’s Sunday School Class. Memorial donations may be made to Thorngrove Baptist Church, 10200 Thorngrove Pike, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday before the service at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive
