Margaret Lucille Parker, 73, of Newport, passed away Friday, December 25, at her home. She was a member of Dutch Bottoms Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Myrtle France; son, Alfred "Kenny" Parker Jr.; infant daughter, Joyce Ann Parker; sister, Mae Briggs; and brother, Clarence France. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Alfred Parker; son, Ronald Parker; daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Danny Buckner; daughter-in-law, Lisa Parker; sister, Dorothy Hall; brother, William France; grandchildren, Michael and Angie Miller, Andy Parker and Kelly Faulconer; seven great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Rachel Parker; special friends, Gladys McMahan, Willie Hartsell and Betty Rimmer; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dutch Bottoms Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Warren, Rev. Ned Ramsey, Rev. Bryan Bradley, and Rev. Rick Hollifield officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Manes Funeral Home was in charge.
