J. L and E. L. Ridenour received word recently of the death of their sister, Ida Ridenour Bailey, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hugo Scharf, at Couer d'Alene, Idaho. Mrs. Bailey, daughter of John D. and Cordelia Ridenour, was born and reared in Cedar county, was 70 yrs old at the time of her death. Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 pm and interment will be in Greenwood cemetery. Ida Ridenour was married to L. H. Bailey in 1883 at Marion Ia, where she was a teacher in the public schools. After their marriage they left Iowa to live, first at Pierre, S. Dakota, and then at Washington D. C. They came from Washington to Bemidji where Mrs. Bailey taught in the public schools for two years. Besides her daughters, she is survived by 2 grandchildren, 4 brothers, John, Chester, Hayes, and Leo, and 2 sisters Mrs. Harry M. Edge and Mrs. F. S. Arnold.
