Clyde E. Pike, born November 6, 1920, died January 8, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, he was a charter member of Ft. Hill Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and treasurer for several years , retired from the United States Post Office, and also served with the United States Air Force for forty months during World War II. Preceded in death by parents, Arlie and Ethel Pike; brother Carl Pike, and sister Mary Kitts. Clyde is survived by his wife of 69 years, Imogene Pike; and son Eddie Pike. Visitation services will be Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Highland South Memorial Park Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ray Carr and Rev. Caroline Goddard officiating. Interment services will follow at Highland South Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Pike, John Lane Jr., Robert Lane, John Lane III, Walter Snyder, Curtis Newman.
