(November 2, 1933 - March 28, 2007) Rita (Cooter) Georgia Benson, age 73, of Cosby passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007 in Baptist West Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hooper & Hazel Denton; brothers, Jesse Denton and J. H. Denton; sister, Doris Denton; grandson, Richard Andrew Proctor; and her companion, Cleo Balch. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Teresa Webb of Dandridge; daughter, Billie Ann Webb of Newport; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Iva Lee Denton of Parrottsville; sisters, Emma Alley and Hilda Lovell both of Newport; grandson, Brandon Webb of Dandridge; also several very special nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, March 30, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rick Clevenger officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 31, 2007 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
