October 19, 1940 - April 25, 2015 William Alexander “Bill” Humphries, age 74, of Corryton passed away April 25, 2015. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Lexington. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed fishing, golfing and gardening. He was preceded in death by parents, George & Margaret Humphries; quadruplet grandchildren, Abby, Gabby, Emma & Avery; and a brother, Clarence Arden. He is survived by his wife, Jan Humphries; children, Randy (Donna) Humphries, Marty (Rachel) Humphries, Kim (Rusty) Hayes; grandchildren, Kristy, Wyatt, Ethan, Carson and Cameron; brother, Fred, Dallas and David Humphries, and Bob and Sam Arden; and sisters, Margie Henegar and Mary McClain. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 pm Tuesday at Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery for a graveside service with military honors at 2pm.
