Karen Sue Breeden Smith Walker, age 46, of South Knoxville, died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Parkwest Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends. A beautiful member of our lives went home to be with the Lord. Karen was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Troy Walker; parents, Charlie and Faye Breeden of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jessica Smith of Oliver Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and April Smith of Sevierville; grandchildren, Lucas, Carlie, Justin, Kyle, Bradley, and Brianna Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Roy Kelley, Linda and Phil Thrasher, all of Knoxville, Melissa and Joey Mills of Louisville; brothers, Charles and Sharon Breeden of Seymour, Danny and Kathy Breeden; father and mother-in-law, Gary and Marie Walker; stepchildren, Alyssa and Jacob Walker, all of Maryville; many loving nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Karen will be forever in our hearts. Her brother-in-law, Roy Kelley, wrote that Karen means 'At Rest Eternally Now.' She will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be 8 p.m, Thursday, April 23, 2009, in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Morton and Pastor Roy Kelley officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Prospect Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Dotson Funeral Home.
