HAROLD EDWIN VALENTINE, age 83, went home to be with the Lord, May 11, 2009. Beloved husband of Pauline (nee Harrison) of 62 years. Son of the late James A. and Eliza (nee Morley) Valentine. Loving father of David (Bonnie), Robert (Laurie), Thomas (Shannon) and the late Harold Richard, dearest grandfather of Amie Simons (Clint), Bethany, Ryan, Jessica and Lauren, proud great grandfather of Cody, Bret and Travis, brother of James Valentine, Bonnie Patterson and the late Betty McMahan. Harold worked for many years as an Ironworker Foreman in Cleveland, Ohio; serving Local 17 of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, and Ornamental Ironworkers. Always with a servant’s heart, Harold served his Lord for many years as a Deacon, Trustee, Sunday school teacher, and helper in many ways at Berea Baptist Church. Family and friends may call Saturday, May 16, from 11am to noon, at Manes Funeral Home, 363 East Main Street, Newport, TN. At noon, a processional from the funeral home to his final resting place, and a brief graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, Newport, Tennessee.
