MCGILL , REVEREND FRED W. - Age 80 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 22, 2005. He was a member and former pastor of Community Baptist Church in Maryville, TN and had been pastor for four local area churches. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Huse and Tish McGill , brother George McGill and sister Margaret Montgomery. He is survived by wife, Ruby Inez McGill 8 step children former wife and mother of his children, Mildred McGill son and daughter in law, Rev. Charley and Judy McGill son Freddie McGill daughter and son in law, Patti and Fred Davis, Jr. adopted son and daughter in law Tracy and Tabitha Fox 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren brother Charles McGill , brother and sister in law Clarence and Phyllis McGill sister Bertha Chamberlain sister and brother in law Nellie and Ray Haire sister Gertie Price several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to extend special gratitude to the staff of Baptist Hospice and Hillcrest West Nursing Facility for their outstanding services and care. Funeral services 8 pm Sunday, June 26, 2005 Highland Memorial Chapel. Reverend Carl McGill , Reverend Clyde Haynes and Reverend Fred Davis, Sr. officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 am Monday at Highland Memorial Funeral Home and proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for an 11 am graveside service. Pallbearers will be Charley McGill , Jr., Mitch Winters, Fred Davis, Jr., Johnny Janeway, J.R. Johnson and R.T. Cox. Honorary Pallbearers will be Preachers and Deacons who had the honor of serving with Brother Fred . The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Sunday at Highland Memorial Park Funerals and Cremations 5315 Kingston Pike 588-0567.
