William "Dub" Samuel Riden, 72, passed away at home Thursday evening, June 3, 2010. He was preceded in death by parents, Eulis and Martha Rogers Riden; brothers, Roy "Bunny" and Don Riden; sisters, Lucy Elizabeth Thompson and Linda Hayes. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Wanda Riden; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Warren Hardwick; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Lisa, Robert and Loretta, and Keith and Stephanie Riden; grandchildren, Hubert and Christa Dyer, Jorden Dyer, Venessa, Jesse, Tyler (Jake), Sam and Gracie Riden; stepgrandchildren, Tommy and Eric Hembree and Travis Hardwick; great-grandchild, Trenton Dyer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Darrel Cable, Pearlie and Bill Kirkland, all of Greenback, Peggy Thompson of Alcoa, Patsy and Lewis Hall of Maryville, Glenda and Howard Ogle of South Carolina, Pam and Wade Sutton of Friendsville, and Sylva and Bill Patterson of Sweetwater; brothers and sisters-in-law, Burl and Janice Riden, Earl and Faye Riden, Fred and Dorthy Riden, all of South Carolina, and Chuck and Teresa Riden of Vonore; sister-in-law, Vonda Riden. There are lots of nieces, nephews, and family, and lots and lots of friends. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Sweet officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday, June 7, 2010, at Old Piney Cemetery for a 1 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
