FLEEMAN, CHARLES N. - age 71 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and retired from Tucker Steel. Preceded in death by: son, Charles Fleeman Jr.; father, James Clifford Fleeman; brothers, Tim and Jimmy Fleeman and Byron Alexander; granddaughter, Emily Davis. Survivors: wife, Bettie Fleeman; sons, Thomas Fleeman Sr. and wife Tina, William David Fleeman and wife Christi; daughter, Elizabeth Davis and husband Paul; mother, Pansey Alexander; brothers, Richard Fleeman and wife Lilly, John Alexander and wife Sandy; sister, Emma Jean Merk and husband Howard; grandchildren, Thomas Fleeman Jr., Amanda and Cory Fleeman, Kayla Reed, Michael and Maranda Davis. Funeral service 8 p.m. Monday in Bridges Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Wade and Rev. Lee Wayne Grubb officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bridges Funeral Home and proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery for the interment at 11 a.m. with Military Honors by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers: Thomas Fleeman Jr., Paul Davis, Hopper Alexander, Brad Whitt, Allen Blankenship. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike 523-4999.
