Veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by daughter, Rita Gail Ramsey; parents, Bennie and Relda Ramsey. Survivors: wife, Sue Ramsey; daughter, Brenda Ramsey of Madisonville; son, Rick Ramsey of Madisonville; grandchildren, Alan and Dustin Ramsey; sisters, Gertie Franks of North Carolina, Phyllis Bates of Texas; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m., Wednesday, Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Gertrude Osborne, Rev. Arthur Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Morganton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
