JONES, GLADYS ( GIBBS ) - age 89 of Knoxville passed away Saturday at Hillcrest West. She was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Sarah Pike, husbands Elbert ( Pete ) Gibbs Jr. and Theodore Jones, son in law Luke Mize and grandaughter Karen Mize Hale. She leaves behind, to treasure her memory, daughters Pat Mize, Marilyn Jenkins and husband tony, Carolyn Valentine and husband Sam. Grandchildren Kim Neely and husband Rick, Scott Mize and companion Debbie White, Jodie Washington and husband Charles, Melanie Hurst and husband Eric, Sammy Valentine and wife Peggy. 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Her daughters would like to express appreciation to the staff and residents of Hillcrest West for the love and friendship they gave to our mother. Funeral service 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with pastor Bob St. John officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 A.M. Thursday at the entrance to Highland Memorial Cemetery for an 11:00 A.M. interment. The family will receive friends 5:30 - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. www.rosemortuary.com
