She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie R. Nelson; son, Dwain Nelson; daughters, Betty Nelson and Linda K. Nelson; daughter-in-law; Kay Nelson; sisters, Mae Pinkston and Mary Evelyn Frye; and brother, Charles Spears. She is survived by sons, Edward Nelson of Seymour, Jimmy Nelson and Danny Nelson of Maryville; daughter, Vonette Nelson of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Mark Anderson, Gladys and Bobby Bean, and JoAnn and Arthur Lawson all of Maryville; grandchildren, Rick and Michael Lawson, Bobby Nelson, Traci LaClare, Eddie Blair, Kristi Jones, Beverly Hill, and Cindy Bean; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister, Nina French; brother, Rosco Spears of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, May 24, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home, Cedar Chapel, with Rev. Billy Carrigan officiating. The interment service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
