James D. Romine, 90, Bradenton, died Dec. 24, 1996.
He was born Oct. 28, 1906, in Sevierville, Tenn., and came to Bradenton 73 years ago from there. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Scarbrough of Lake Placid, and Katie Giddens and Barbara Rhoden, both of Bradenton; a brother, Andrew of Bradenton; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manasota chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park.
