He was born Oct. 28, 1906, in Sevierville, Tenn., and came to Bradenton 73 years ago from there. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a Baptist. Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Scarbrough of Lake Placid, and Katie Giddens and Barbara Rhoden, both of Bradenton; a brother, Andrew of Bradenton; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manasota chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to All Children's Hospital, 800 Fifth St. S., St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
