Billy James Shanton- age 16 of Lenoir City passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 14, 2012. He was a Junior at Lenoir City High School where he was part of the LCHS Singers. Billy was a talented musician and loved to write poetry. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Billy Clark and Samuel Shanton; uncle, Billy Clark Jr., and great grandmothers, Aileen Williams and Bertha Clark. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carrisa and Stephen Spoon of Lenoir City; father, Samuel Shanton, Jr. of Sevierville; brothers: Ross Ogle, Corey Spoon and Keener Shanton; sisters: Stephanie Shanton, Krislyn Spoon and Ashlyn Spoon; grandparents, Jerry and Janice Spoon, Patsy and Willard Drennan; aunts and uncles: Tresa and Timmy Holt, James Mark Clark, Darrell and Shawn Drennan , David and Tammy Drennan, Angelic Black, Sandy and Jim Canter, Penny and Mike Davis, Dewey and Linda Williams, Lisa and Billy Johnson, and Mary Bivens, and many cousins. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Family and friends will gather at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
