Freda Carolyn Castle Sharpe - Age 69 of Knoxville, looked her Savior in the eye Monday evening, October 24, 2011 at her home. She was born July 8, 1942 to John Ellis and Virginia Clark Castle in Kingsport, Tennessee. A Member of First Baptist Church of Concord, she grew up at Cedar View Independent Methodist Church, where at age 13 she accepted Jesus as her Savior. Later, she grew much as a follower of Jesus as a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church in Johnson City, and loved the friends at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church for a time. Predeceasing her were husband, Gordon Emert Sharpe; father, John Ellis Castle; paternal great-grandparents, John Oliver and Nancy Haynes Castle and James Silas and Mary Ethel Castle; maternal grandparents, Alvin Marion and Betty Morgan Clark. She is loved dearly and survived by her daughters, Teresa Michele Gray and Rebecca Elaine Jordan (husband, Bruce), and son, Gordon Nathanael Sharp (wife, Emily); grandsons, Trainor McAllister and John Castle Gray and granddaughter, Laurel Linnea Sharp; her mother, Virginia Clark Castle; brothers Norman Daniel Castle (wife, Brenda), Christopher Ellis Castle, Sr.; nephews, Danny Castle, Eric Castle (wife, Tracy), and Christopher Castle, Jr.; grandniece, Lindsey Morgan Castle and grandnephew, Thomas Tyler Castle. In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be sent to Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, 2500 East Fifth Avenue Knoxville, Tennessee 37914. The memorial service will be held on Saturday October 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend John Silver presiding over the services.
