BECKNER, WILLIAM RAY "BILL" - age 62 of Knoxville passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 2, 2008. He attended Marbledale Baptist Church, and recently retired after 43 years of employment with Sears & Roebuck. He also served in the Air National Guard and received an honorable discharge in 1972. Preceded in death by father, Cecil S. Beckner; mother, Ollie Beckner; brother, Cecil; and sister, Iva Mae McGinnis. Survived by son, Russell Beckner and wife Kimberly; daughter, Karen Caylor and husband Charles; grandson, Christopher Caylor; sisters, Dorothy Russell and husband Eddie, Mary Sue Jones and Bobby, and Louise Hurst; brothers, Jack and wife Grace, Howard and wife Vera; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral service will be 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 6, 2008, in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Thursday at Asbury Cemetery for an 11:00 am interment.
