Sadie Ford, 79, of Hartford, went to be with Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour Thursday, March 7, 2002, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Her husband, Ralph T. Ford, infant daughter, Mary Ford, parents, John Lewis and Laura Smith and numerous brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ford Raines and her husband, Earl, of Hartford; grandchildren, Kenneth Ford and his wife, Milli, of Newport, Norma Sue Banks and her husband, L.D., of Cosby, and Jeffrey Ford and Angie Ford, both of Cosby; great-grandchildren, Brandi Ford, Jeremiah Banks, Dana Ford, Kendra Ford, and Sheena Banks; great-great-grandchild, Jordan Ford; stepgrandchildren, Mary Kate Black, Betty Jean Moore, Conley Raines, Lisa Raines, and Angel Fox; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Matthew Raines, Roger Grooms, and Myra James.
Mrs. Ford had many friends now and ones gone on before her.
Funeral service will be Sunday March 10, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Ford Cemetery.
The family received friends Saturday evening, March 9, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Sadie Ford.
