Vin M. Brown, 59 years old of Wilmot, WI passed away Sunday, June 16, 2002 at St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan, IL. She was born August 14, 1942 in Waukegan, IL the daughter of Tony and Violet (Kasper) Rukstales and had lived in Lindenhurst, IL before moving to Wilmot, WI in 1978. Vin was a member of St. John Church in Twin Lakes, WI. She worked as a registered nurse in the OB Department for twenty years at St. Therese Medical Center.
On May 12, 1962 she married Paul Brown in Waukegan, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; 3 sons, Paul Jr. (Shirley) of Twin Lakes, WI, Tony (Laurie) of Grayslake, IL and Andy (Lisa) of Twin Lakes, WI; her mother, Violet Rukstales of Wilmot, WI: five grandchildren, Scott, Andie, Romeo, Sebastian and Delaney; and two sisters, Bette Pulaski of Wadsworth, IL and Debbie (Gerrit) Milks of Ronkonkoma, NY. She was preceded in death by her father, Tony Rukstales and one sister, Dorothy (Larry) Bukantis.
Funeral services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at St. John Church, 701 N. Lake Ave., Twin Lakes, WI. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83) Antioch, IL from 4 until 8 PM Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Silver Lake Rescue Squad, Silver Lake, WI 53170 or the American Lung Association in her memory.
