Mr. Medley, a Gaston County native, was the son of Rufus and Eula Lewis Medley. He was a self-employed salesman and an Army veteran. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Mrs. Betty Adams Medley; stepson, Lee Pennington; stepdaughter, Renee Lowrance; sisters, Mrs. Verol Connor of Cherryville, Mrs. Carolyn Stiles of Clover, S.C., Mrs. Tammy Weaver and Mrs. Bobbie Frye; and brothers, Gene Medley of Dallas and Russell Medley. Pallbearers are Lee Pennington, Chris Lowrance, Harold Frye, Gene Parker, Glenn Wood and Ben Masters.
