  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 7 Jan 2007. BASELL, EUGENE EDWARD - age 48 of Knoxville, born August 15, 1958, passed away January 5, 2007. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Eugene endured much suffering, but he knew with Christ we can have "the peace of God", and never gave up hope. He dreamed of one day returning home to be with his parents and tinkering with his automobiles. He is survived by his loving and devoted parents, James Edward and Thelma Headrick Basell, who visited him daily in the hospital and nursing home; sister and husband, Ramonia Joeleen and David Stephens and their children, Adam and Sarah Stephens; uncle and aunt, Harold and Grace Headrick; uncles Ed and Leslie Headrick; aunt, Anna Baker; several cousins, other family members and friends. The funeral service will be in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, on Monday at 7:00 PM, with Rev. George Ott, Jr., and Rev. George Bryant officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the service. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Cedar Grove Cemetery for the interment.
