CHAMBERS, LT. COL. IVAN VINCENT -Tennessee Army National Guard; Retired, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2000, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was 80. A veteran of World War II, he served in France with the 280th Battalion XIII Corps as Reconnaissance Officer and Forward Observer. During the Korean Conflict, he was an officer with the Korean Military Advisory Group U.S.A. (KMAG) attached to the 2nd Korean Division (White Horse) R.O.K. He had also served on the staff of the U.S. Army Artillery Center, Ft. Sill, OK. He was retired from ALCOA, a member of Broadway Baptist Church and Alcoa Kiwanis Club. He was a graduate of Maryville College. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Britton Chambers; daughters, Sharon Kay Chambers; and parents, James Phillip and Zora Chambers. Survivors include: Sons & daughters-in-law: Tom and Jeanne Chambers of Maryville, Jeff and Pam Chambers of Jackson, TN; Daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy and Rocky Davis of Louisville, Nancy and Rob Chance ofMaryville; grandchildren: Sharon, Lacy, Melissa Chambers, Ryan Woody of Louisville, TN, Lorna Chambers of Jackson, TN and Sam Davis of Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law: Marion and Charles Harrison of Maryville; sisters: Elsa Dykes of Alcoa and Vega Burns of Portland, OR. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammons-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Brown and Rev. L.G. Hutchens officiating. A military graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, TN.
