Albert D. Myers (of the Cades Cove Myers) age 85 of Walland went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 4, 2006. He was a member of Rocky Branch Bethel Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. He was an avid hunter and retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. He was loved by many, a cherished husband and daddy. Preceded in death by: infant daughter, Patricia Myers; parents, Dan and Iva Myers; brother, Elmer T. Myers; sisters, Mary Matlock and infant sister; brothers-in-law, Baily Matlock, Huse Gregory, Eulice Cummings, and Carmen Jones; sisters-in-law, Clara Myers and Barbara Myers. Survivors include: loving wife of 60 years, Louise Barbra Myers; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jack Bradley of Shalimar, FL, Judy and Howard (Gene) Wilburn of Maryville; grandson, Travis D. Wilburn of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughters and husbands, Michelle and Craig Newbold of Roswell, GA, Emily and Pete Wilkinson of Louisville, KY; great grandchildren, Hannah, Haley, Haven, and Harris Newbold of Roswell, GA; sisters, Clemmie Gregory of Maryville, Nola Cummings of Walland, Dixie and husband Max Walker of Walland, Velma Jones of AL; brothers, Mark Myers, Luke and wife Sue Myers, Bob and wife Sylvia Myers all of Maryville; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Rex Everett and Rev. Chad Riddle officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2006, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com.
