Alvin Richard Finger, 61 of Louisville went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer. He retired from Robert Shaw of Knoxville after 27 dedicated years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents: Vola Sr. and Mertie (Carver) Finger, brother: Vola Finger Jr.; sister: Catherine Price. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Jeania Finger; daughter, Toni Scott and husband Tom; son, Marty Finger and wife Angela; grandsons: Richard, Josh, Marcus and Bryan; granddaughters: Amanda, Kayla, and Kelsey; great-granddaughter: McKenzie; brothers: Bill Finger of Knoxville, Ronnie Finger of Ohio; sister: Nancy Collins of Greenback, Almita of Georgia, and Becky Vanmeter of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2006 at Lamplight Church with Rev. Ronald Morton officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Lamplight Church.
