(February 1, 1936 - September 26, 2015) David Wallace Brown-age 79 of Cosby, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness on Saturday, September 26, 2015. He was an avid farmer and loved to raise cattle. David was a member of Allen’s Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents Len Brown and Gladys (Ford) Brown. A son, David Wallace Brown Jr. granddaughter Megan Hope Henegar and sister Beulah Tipton. David is survived by his wife of 60 years Dora (Rathbone) Brown; daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn and Tony Cline, Sandra and Michael Sutton, Glenda and Marvin Henegar, daughter-in-law Joy Brown. 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Sister and brother-in-law Patty and Billy Wayne Moore, brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Margie Brown, brother Tommy Brown. A very special niece Janet Brown Valentine. The family would like to thank everyone for the calls, texts, food, prayers and for all the love people have shared with them. Family will receive friends Monday, September 28, 2015 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Large and Rev. Glen Ball officiating.
