LINCOLN, DEARL GLENWOOD - 86, of Oak Ridge, died Monday, December 18, 2006 at NHC Health Care Center. He was born August 25, 1920 in Flat River, Missouri, the son of Claude Victor Lincoln and Mary Elizabeth Tessereau Lincoln. Mr. Lincoln was a veteran of WWII, attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant, serving with the US Army in Iceland, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems, Y-12, where he was a machinist. Mr. Lincoln was a long-time member of Robertsville Baptist Church where he has served in many capacities, including Deacon, Sunday School Department Director, Sunday School Teacher and singing with the Senior Choir. Mr. Lincoln enjoyed playing golf and making and repairing golf clubs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Ted Lincoln and Olon Lincoln and sister, Naomi Pilkenton. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jeanette Mathews Lincoln; daughters, Beverly Hammonds and husband Benny of Gatlinburg and Joyce Brown and husband Robert of Knoxville; 3 grandchildren, Krissy Sims and husband Roger, Lee Hammonds and wife Whitney and Jeff Marlar and wife Katherine and 5 great grandchildren, Hagen and Karsen Sims, Pierce and Brady Hammonds and Wyatt Marlar. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Robertsville Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Prince officiating. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to Robertsville Baptist Church, 251 Robertsville Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
