  Clotilde, Queen Of The Franks. Clotilda, Saint (circa 470-545), daughter of Chilperic, king of Burgundy (flourished 5th century). In 493 she became the wife of Clovis I, king of the Franks. Clotilda was responsible for the conversion of her husband to Christianity. After he died in 511 she entered a monastery at Tours. She was canonized a few years after her death.
