He was born in Maryville, Tenn., and was a life resident of Barberton. Elmer was employed by the B. F. Goodrich Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Civitan, V.F.W. Post 1066, Barberton Sokol Club, and Jednota Lodge 425. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by sons, Donald and Keith, he is survived by his wife, Lois; sons, David (Kathy) of Akron, James (Carol) of Akron, Douglas of Barberton, Elmer (Dawn) of Mississippi, Eddie (Robin) of Akron, Gary and Kenny, both of Barberton; daughters, Mrs. Patricia Sue Voholetz of Kenmore, Mrs. Libby (Chuck) Sampson of Barberton, Mrs. Brenda McGee of Akron; 21 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Floyd and J.T., both of Tennessee, George of Akron, James of Norton; sisters, Mrs. Annabell Holder and Mrs. Janet McCammon, both of Tennessee. Funeral services will be Monday, 1 p.m., at the Hahn Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Norman Slack officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling will be one hour prior to service.
