Elmer L. Headrick, 73, passed away peacefully on May 9, 1997, at the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, with his family by his side.
He was born in Maryville, Tenn., and was a life resident of Barberton. Elmer was employed by the B. F. Goodrich Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Civitan, V.F.W. Post 1066, Barberton Sokol Club, and Jednota Lodge 425. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Army.
Preceded in death by sons, Donald and Keith, he is survived by his wife, Lois; sons, David (Kathy) of Akron, James (Carol) of Akron, Douglas of Barberton, Elmer (Dawn) of Mississippi, Eddie (Robin) of Akron, Gary and Kenny, both of Barberton; daughters, Mrs. Patricia Sue Voholetz of Kenmore, Mrs. Libby (Chuck) Sampson of Barberton, Mrs. Brenda McGee of Akron; 21 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Floyd and J.T., both of Tennessee, George of Akron, James of Norton; sisters, Mrs. Annabell Holder and Mrs. Janet McCammon, both of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be Monday, 1 p.m., at the Hahn Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Norman Slack officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling will be one hour prior to service.
