Miceli, 77, of Wauconda, formerly of Chicago and Glenview, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, at Transfiguration Church, 310 W. Mill St., Wauconda. Born Nov. 21, 1923, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at the Care Center of Wauconda. A veteran, Mr. Miceli had served in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a member of Transfiguration Church. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Miceli (nee Carsello); children, Joan (Dennis) Leslie, Guy G. Miceli Jr., and Kim (Edward) Niziolek; grandchildren, Brian, Madelyn, Ellen, Julia and Eriq; and sister, Genevieve (William) Varney. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Lucy Miceli. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated. Arrangements were made by Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, Wauconda. For information, (847)526-2115.
