MOORE, LYDIA MAE age 86 of Knoxville, born September 29, 1922, passed away September 29, 2008 at Brakebill Nursing Home. A life-long member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. She was a very loving and caring person. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, and will be sadly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hattie Moore; sisters, Pauline Chambers, Mary Wolfe, Maude Grizzle and Becky Wilkerson; brothers, James Moore, Henry Moore, Tom Moore, Foch Moore, Frank Moore and Ester Moore. She is survived by her brother, Robert Moore and wife Mabel; sisters, Ercie Fox and Ruth Odum; a special sister-in-law, Mabel Moore - a loving, devoted caregiver; sister-in-law, Lillian Moore; loving and devoted nieces and nephews, Virginia R. Nipper and Ken of Knoxville, Vivian P. Duncan and Tim of El Dorado, AR, Harriet G. Hartman and John of Knoxville; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Mack and Glena Grizzle, and Pat Reed. The family would like to thank the staff at Brakebill Nursing Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Highland Memorial Funeral Home on Kingston Pike, with services to follow at 8 p.m. conducted by David McCormack and Rev. Billy Moore. Graveside services will be on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Highland West Cemetery, Sherrill Lane. Miss Moore's guestbook can be signed online at www.highlandmemorialparks.com.
