Carroll Jack Fish, 73, of Newport, passed away Monday morning following a lengthy illness. He was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laney Fish; his son, Gordon Fish; sister, Bernice Sprouse; and brother, Ray Fish. He is survived by his sons, Walter Fish of Newport, Larry Fish of Newport, and Jimmy Fish of Newport; his daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Dennis Samples of Bybee, and Peggy and Edward Williams of Newport; sisters, Bonnie Whittle of Hartford, Ruby Whittle of Parrottsville, Agnes Messer of Johathan Creek, North Carolina, Fairy Smith of Newport, and Reva Shepherd of Parrottsville; brothers, Leroy Fish of Cosby, Gene Fish of Cosby, Frank Fish of Bridgeton, New Jersey, and Joe Fish of Cosby; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hensley ofÞciating. Interment will be at Cothran Cemetery.
