Winston Wallace Helton - age 81 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at his home. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and the church Choir. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and was retired after 41 years with South Central Bell.
Survivors include his wife, Lyda Wilson Helton; daughter, Kim Gregg and husband Ricky; son, Hal Helton; granddaughters, Kristin Geren and husband Tate, Morgan Batten and husband Daniel, Katie Burns and husband Todd, Brianna Helton; grandson, Levi Helton; 3 special great-grandsons, Jackson Geren, Deacon Geren, and Colton Helton; brother Ray Helton; sisters, Doris Hendrix, Ernestine Debusk and husband Bob; sisters-in-law, Sally Helton, Almeda Helton, Helen Tuck and husband Harold, Bobbie Ray and husband Chuck; brothers-in-law, Jerry Wilson and wife Pat, Lynn Wilson and wife Judy; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Friday at Sevier Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Helton and Rev. Scott Cagle officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the church.
