On April 11, 2014 Homer Cabe, Jr. went home to sing in his Heavenly Father’s Choir. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Owner of C & C Communications, he was well known in the community as the Telephone man. Homer served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gladys Cabe; children Cindy Lindsey, Kathy (Shone) Coker, Mike (Lori) Cabe ; step-children, David (Linda) McLemore, Marie (John) Dyke and Linda (Terry) Vineyard; special honorary family member, Bill Francis and Curtis Strickland; grandchildren, Christa (Kevin) Grahl, Jennifer Lindsey, Jessica (Steven) Hamlet, Courtney (Jarod) Young, Chasity Cabe, Brody Cabe, Stephanie Russell and Chris Russell, Amy (Randy) Walker, Shea (Gus) Fancher, Renee (Jason) Williams, Jonathan Dyke, David Vineyard; and great grandchildren, Danyale Grahl, Ethan Grahl, Noah Hamlet, Harper Hamlet, Peyton Young, Jackson Young and Kinnlea Norwood, Trey Vineyard, Tyler Vineyard, Marissa Vineyard, Kayla Vineyard, Lilly Walker, Austin Fancher, Addison Fancher, Alleah Fancher, Emily Williams, Faith Williams, Olivia Williams, Sara Williams; and sister, Rachel Barnes of Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 14, 2014 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Manes Funeral Home. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com.
