Carl Houston Headrick, 89 passed away at home on Saturday, December 20, 2014 with his "Sunshine" of 72 years, wife Roxie Wilburn Headrick and loving family members at his side. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Loretta; parents, Henry and Biddy Headrick; brothers, Harvey and Bill; sisters, Grace Russell, Ica Peirce, Ann Baldwin, and Elizabeth Merriman; great grandson, Daniel Justin Headrick. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Karen Headrick; daughter and son-in-law, Cookie and Mike Crowson; grandchildren, Justin Headrick and wife, Jessica, Joshua Headrick and wife, Christine, Misty Gregory and husband, Keith, Angelia Healy and husband, Andrew; great grandchildren, Hannah Headrick, Taylor and Kristyn Gregory, Georgia Mae Rose and Cambelle Brook Healy; brothers-in-law, Cledith & Clifford Wilburn; sister-in-law, Ernesteen Davis; numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. John Ingram, Blount Memorial Hospice Staff and special family friend, Lorens Cruze. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 in the Smith West Chapel with Rev. Carl White, Rev. Greg Long & Joshua Headrick officiating with interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Veterans War Memorial Renovation Project, Blount Hearing & Speech Foundation, Blount Memorial Hospice.
