She was a member of Alcoa First Baptist Church and preceded in death by husband, Burl Ward son, Robert Ward grandson, Robert Ward, Jr. brother, Carl Dixon and sister, Gladys Ward. Survivors include sister, Lola Deck of Alcoa brothers, Ralph Dixon of Alcoa, and Wayne Dixon of Dayton, Tenn. granddaughters, Cheryl Hurst and Vanessa Ward, both of Florida five great-grandchildren special friend, John Wallace of Englewood, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2002, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Gene Gann officiating. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery.
