(February 20, 1924 - July 28, 2014) Raymond Earl Daniels, age 90, passed away Monday morning, July 28, 2014 at his home in the Bogard Community in Newport, TN. He was born and reared in Cocke County. He started farming at an early age and continued farming until he fell and broke his hip and arm in May of this year. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Dunn Daniels; parents, Delozier and Algie Daniels; honorary granddaughter, Delana Adams. He is survived by his sons, Estel (Marilyn) Daniels and Jimmy (Janice) Daniels all of Newport and Gary (Tammy) Daniels of Sevierville; grandchildren, Mark and Matt Daniels, Lacey and Jordan Daniels, and Isaac Adams; nine step-grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and four step-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be following at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ransom Hall officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 31, 2014 in the Bryant Cemetery, Lower Bogard Road, Newport.
