He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Preceded in death by: his farther, A.C. Sayne. He is survived by: his devoted wife of 32 years, Myrna Jones Sayne daughter, Erin Ashlea Young of Powell son-in-law, Officer Samuel Paul Young of Powell loving grandson, Jackson Tailor mother, Ruth I. Sayne of Knoxville brother, Gordon Catlett, Sr. and wife Sue of Seymour brother, Tony Catlett and wife Pat of Knoxville sister, Willa Dean Ballinger and husband, Wayne of Knoxville and many loving nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be private and conducted by Alan Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37909.
