Preceded in death by father, Jeff Cole; mother and step-father, Hazel and Homer McHaffie; brothers, Frankie Cole, Clarence Cole, Ulyess Cole, James McHaffie, and Chester McHaffie; sisters, Viola Alsip and Evelyn Lamb; first wife, Thelma Morton Cole; infant daughter and older daughter, Shirley Ann Pascale. Survived by wife, Frances Cole; daughter, Brenda Baird; grandchildren, Bobbie and Betty Warren and Ted Lamb; five great grandchildren; sister, Helen Mills; brother, Bob McHaffie; and cousin, Walter Cole. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday, April 13, 2009, in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Sexton and Rev. Jerry Ellison officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Tuesday at Clear Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment. Full military honors will be provided by the East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard.
