Clarence R. Inman (Papaw) age 82 of Newport passed away Thursday February 12, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. He was a Korean War Veteran, member and Sunday school teacher at the French Broad Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. C. H. and Edna Inman, sons; Bob and Billy Inman, sisters Louise Reed and Margaret Ledford.
He is survived by wife Georgia Movaline (Jo) Inman; son Tom Inman and wife Karen; daughter Candy Kolar and husband Gary. Grandchildren Amanda Chagnon, Cierra Inman, Kari Ann Moore, Kenzie Inman, Deanna and Shea Inman; great grandchildren Cole and Ryan Chagnon.
Brothers Wendy Inman, Cecil Inman ( Mary Lou) Drew Inman (Marty), Nathan Inman (Paula) Sister Gladys Gregg (Randy) and all the children that called him Papaw.
Very special friends Sharon and Russell Ottinger, Steve and Teresa Parks, Tim and Bobbie Foster and a host of close friends and church family.
A very special thank you to Smokey Mountain Home Health care for their care and support.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 til 7 P. M. at the Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 7 P.M. with the Rev. Bill Murr and Rev. Danny Bell officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 2 P.M. Sunday at the McCollough Cemetery for graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to French Broad Baptist Church Building Fund.
