Mike Cody, age 67, of Bell, Florida, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Rowena Cody of Cosby; sister-in-law Julia R. Cody of Newport; brother-in-law R. C. Finchum of Sevierville; and father-and-mother-in-law Aubrey and Thelma Samples of Dandridge.
He is survived by his loving wife Gail Samples Cody; daughter Caroline Cody Frederickson and husband Steve; grandchildren Andi Jack and Stevie Frederickson of Orlando, Florida; brothers Jerry Cody of Newport and Robert 'Brownie' Cody and wife Janice of Cosby; sister June Finchum of Sevierville; sister-in-law Darlene Samples of Dandridge; brother-in-law Aubrey Samples and wife Betty of Knoxville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At his request, Mike will be cremated and returned to his birthplace on his family farm in Cosby, TN. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
