Text: Rev. Reubel R. Helton, age 83 of Jellico, TN formerly of Knoxville, lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with Jesus on September 8, 2006. He was a WWII Veteran in the United States Army in Europe. He retired from Southern Railway with 43 years of service and was a long time church member of North Lonsdale Church of God. He pastored First Deliverance Church of Williamsburg, KY. Preceded in death by parents, Andy and Lucy (Welch) Helton; brothers, Marshall, Jesse and Wayne Helton and first wife, Ruby (Shaw) Weaver Helton. Survived by wife, Vina Helton; daughter, Carol Wolfenbarger of Sneedville; daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Jake Jaquess of Ripley, TN and Sue and Marvin Smith of Seymour, TN; step-son, Marvin Weaver of Knoxville; step-daughter, Sue Letzinger of Florida; grandchildren, Johnny and Tammy Collins of Maynardville, Mellisa and Allen Byrd of Knoxville, Robbie and Carrie Smith of Mt. Juliet, Jimmy and Greg Wolfenbarger of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Louise Helton of Sevierville; sister, Juanita Vail of Knoxville; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Sunday at 7 PM in the Fountain City Chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home with Reverend Howard Helton officiating. Family and friends will meet at10:45 AM Monday at Huddleston Cemetery in Jellico for interment at 11 AM. Pallbearers will be Johnny Collins, Sonny Helton, Danny Helton, Danny Helton, Jr., Allen Byrd and Carroll Allen. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City. www.mynattfh.com
