(June 1, 1933 - October 7, 2009) Polly Anne Weeks, age 76, of Cosby, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family and closest friends. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of Garver’s Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Weeks, Sr., son David E. Weeks, Sr., grandson David E. Weeks, Jr., parents Henry and Virgie Brown, sisters Gladys Jenkins, Ota Brown, and Betty Lamson, and brother Roby Brown. She is survived by her sons, James Weeks, Jr. (Naomi), William “Bucky” Weeks, Steve Weeks (Tresha), Jeff Weeks (Sherrie), Johnny Weeks (Teresa), Ronnie Weeks (Cassie), Max Weeks (Laura), daughters, Mary Weeks, Katie Frazier, Paula Adams (Glen), special grandson Brandon Denton. She will be sadly missed by 31 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Sisters Ruth Down (Harold), Ella Ryan (Pat) of New Jersey, and brother J.R. Brown of Flordia. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. Special thanks to Charlie Grooms and Scott Gorrell and the staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Garver’s Chapel Church with Rev. Fred Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in the Weeks Family Cemetery in Cosby. Family and friends will gather Thursday afternoon and Friday, at her home, at 4075 Trail Hollow Road Cosby, TN 37722.
