Tipton, Thomas Edward (Tom) age 62 of Lenoir City went to be with the Lord Friday afternoon, August 12, 2005. Tom was a Construction Superintendent for Farragut Ditching for many years. Most recently, he was superintendent for K & W Drilling. He was a veteran of the U S Army serving in Korea. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Beulah Cody Tipton. Survivors: wife, Judy Tipton; daughter and son-in-law, Renae and Tony Copeland of Maryville; son, Scott Tipton of Knoxville; grandchildren, Kayla and Zachary Copeland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Kyle Turner of Knoxville, Mary and Glenn Maddron of Lenoir City, Phyllis and David Matthews of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Barbara Tipton of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; Aunts, Lil Cody, Dorothy Prater, Elizabeth Carter and Katherine Cody. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 p.m. Sunday followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with Rev. Keith Johnson and David Matthews officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Monday at Shady Grove Cemetery for graveside services with full military honors conferred by the Volunteer State Honor Guard.
