DeLOZIER, SARAH HARRIETT BROWN - age 91, of Maryville, died 6:35 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at Blount Memorial Hospital after a sudden stroke. She was the widow of the late Hugh E. DeLozier who died in 1966. He was an attorney at law and former city attorney of the city of Maryville. She was the youngest of 10 children born to John and Sarah McIlvaine Brown at what is now known as the Thompson-Brown House. All of her brothers and sisters preceded her in death. She attended Maryville schools and graduated from Martha Washington College. She taught school for many years. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and William R. Phillips of Maryville; and sons and daughters-in-law, Judge Hugh E. and Rhonda DeLozier of Maryville and Daniel B. and Anne DeLozier of Lincolnshire, Ill.; grandchildren and spouses, Sarah and Eric Shepherd of Tracy, Calif., Susan and Dr. David Knoll of Tampa, Fla., Sharon and Robert Earley of Sevierville, Tenn., Dana and Billy Langford of Syracuse, N.Y., Paige and Peter Davison of Syracuse, N.Y., Marit DeLozier of New York City, N.Y., Ben DeLozier of Knoxville, Tenn. and Will DeLozier of Lincolnshire, Ill.; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia Knoll and Andrew Knoll of Tampa, Fla. and Adam Earley of Sevierville, Tenn.; and many devoted nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery. Her nephew Rev. John C. Sterling will officiate. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation or The American Heart Association.
