Kathleen ' Kathy ' Overstreet of Warren passed away Nov. 16, 2009, at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland. She was 61.
Kathy Runyan was born March 6, 1948, in Oakland, Calif., to George E. and Ann Marie (Madigan) Runyan.
In 1965 she graduated from Medford Senior High School, and from 1968-1972 was employed with GTE.
On Jan. 15, 1972, she married Jack Dale Overstreet in Reno, Nev.
The couple owned and operated Cooper Auto Parts in St. Helens from 1980 until 2004.
Among the things she enjoyed were reading, gardening, bowling, gambling, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jack Overstreet of Warren; daughter, Annie (Joe) Harrison of Clatskanie; daughter-in-law, Cindy Overstreet of Scappoose; grandchildren, Josi, Hayden, and Kendall; mother, Ann Marie Runyan and sister, Patricia (Ron) Hamilton, all of Willamina; mother-in-law, Edith Overstreet of St. Helens; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Ryan Overstreet , and father, George E. Runyan.
A memorial service was held Nov. 23 at the First Christian Church in St. Helens.
