CHARLES WALTER (CHUCK) or (RASS) MILLER, age 65, of Dandridge, TN passed away, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 following a prolonged illness. He was the son of the late Robert Henry Miller and Allie Vinyard Reneau Miller and was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Aline Goodwin; brothers, James W. (J.W.) Miller and Ray (Pete) Miller; sisters, Dortha (Dorothy) Ellen Henry, Edna (Ed) Ruth Bradley and Anna Vee (Hanna) Henry.
Survived by wife, Patricia Cuffe Miller; daughters, Cheryl N. (Dan) Bacon of Manchester, NH and Kelly (Kevin) Sullivan of Medford, MA; sisters, Ida Mae Gann of Jefferson City and Barbara Lane of Seymour; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Chuck spent his childhood at Kingswood School Orphanage and graduated from Maury High School, Class of 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked at NH Insurance and Public Service of NH (Northeast Utilities) as a computer mainframe analyst. When he was not gardening, he loved to fish and enjoyed fishing with friends at places such as Labrador, St. Thomas, Cape Cod, MA and the Great Lakes. He had special friends in NH and NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to God’s Willing Vessels (Food Pantry) c/o Swannsylvania Baptist Church, 921 Swannsylvania Rd., Dandridge, TN 37725.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE, TN 865-397-2711
