ATKINS, ALBERT ACREE "TOMMY", JR. - age 84, moved to his heavenly home from his earthly home in Knoxville, TN. on Saturday, March 6, 2010. He loved the Lord, his country, sailboats and his 47 plus years business as Valley Pump & Supply. Tommy was a devoted member of The Gideons International, An Elder at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. A member of the Studebaker Driver's Club and served in the Navy during World War II. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Janeway Atkins; Parents, Mattie Lou Tedford Atkins and Albert Acree Atkins, Sr. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Tom DeLozier; grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah DeLozier; many cousins and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons International, P. O. Box 1452, Knoxville, Tennessee 37901. A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Chapel with Rev. David Howe officiating. Interment will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Family will receive friends 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Mortuary Oglewood Avenue at Broadway.
