ATKINS, MARY ANGELINE JANEWAY - age 79, went home to her Heavenly Father from her home in Knoxville, TN, on Saturday, February 24, 2007. She was a beautiful example of Christian grace and servitude, showing care and concern for everyone she met. Mary was a devoted member of The Gideons International Auxiliary for over 40 years and Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by parents, Emily Maude Clark Janeway and Joseph Luney Janeway; sisters, Gladys Janeway, Ruth Ownby, Concord, Isham O. Turbyville, Knoxville; brothers, W. Hugh Ownby and Leo Ownby, Richmond, VA, Kenneth Ownby, Chattanooga, TN. Survivors: husband, Albert A. "Tommy" Atkins; daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Tom DeLozier; grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah DeLozier; sister, Ruby Brock, all of Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Mario Fontana of Oak Ridge, TN; brother and sister-in-law, J.L. and Johnnie Janeway of Concord, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends at Stevens Mortuary on Monday, February 26 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. Rev. David Howe officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 1452, Knoxville, TN 37901. Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Ave. at N. Broadway is serving the family of Mrs. Atkins.
