UNDERWOOD, ROSEMARY OVERTON - age 80, of Knoxville, passed away 1:35 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2008 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. She was a member of Stoney Point Baptist Church, and preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. (Red) Underwood; son, Darryl Michael Underwood; one brother and five sisters. Survivors: daughter, Cheryl Hall of Greenville, South Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Alan and Teresa Underwood of Corryton; son, Terry Underwood of Knoxville; grandchildren, Russell, Heath, Shannon, Shellie, and Zachary Underwood, Chris Berry, and Jacob Hall; seven great-grandchildren; special friend, Jeannie Laycock and many other special friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road Knoxville, TN 37909. A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Stevens Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Buford Wilson, Rev. Tony Earl, and Rev. Donny Walker officiating. The family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Monday at Beech Springs Cemetery in Sevier County for a graveside service and interment at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
